Along the way, with or without a walking stick, the new pilgrims encounter amateur athletes. There is not a path left that’s not populated with active walkers! Is walking a remedy for today’s ills? The WALKS ACADEMY seeks to be openminded and intends to examine the inexorable forceful displacement of populations as well as the West’s recent infatuation with this mode of displacement.

Whether you are an explorer, a pilgrim, a migrant, or you walk for political, poetic, or sports-related reasons!
Walks may take all possible and imaginable forms:
> Informed by protest, “sensibility,” or poetry
> Downtown, in the suburbs, or in the wild
> With shoes or barefoot, clothed or naked
> Slow walks, blind walks, nocturnal, athletic, political walks, pride marches, meditative, Afghan walking, to get lost, etc.
> Carnivals, philosophical walks, demonstrations, activist marches, silent walks, collective wandering…
